The Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum’s (SECAF) 15th Annual Government Contractor Awards honor small and emerging government contractors and the players in the industry that rely on small business. Winners will be announced at the Annual Awards Gala on Thursday, May 4, 2023. 

For a full description of each award category's criteria and eligibility, click on the links below to view a sample application in advance. You MUST complete and submit your application online via this portal – no exceptions. After you begin an application, you may SAVE and return at a later time to continue and complete the application.

• Government Contractor of the Year
  (Under $7.5 Million in Revenue, $7.5-$15 Million in Revenue, $15-$27.5 Million in Revenue, $27.5-$50 Million in Revenue)
  For companies that have shown a compelling and profound commitment to excellence in financial performance. This award includes an optional question for Mentor-Protégé programs.

• Award of Excellence: Under $50 Million in Revenue (SECAF Members Only)
  Highlights organizations that represent excellence within their respective communities, the government contracting industry, and towards employees.

  Recognizes companies that have delivered an exemplary program with significant value to the federal government.

• Mentor-Protégé Program of the Year
  For companies that have shown a compelling commitment to excellence through its efforts as a prime contractor by providing tangible benefits to small businesses and/or subcontractors during the previous year.

  The Executive of the Year award is presented to an Executive (such as a CEO, President, Founder) who has shown a profound commitment to excellence to their company, the community, the government contracting industry and towards their employees.

SECAF Awards Eligibility:

• All applicants/businesses must be located within a 50-mile radius of the Washington, DC area. Click HERE for a list of counties included.
• SECAF Board members may not apply for a SECAF award
• A company CANNOT win an award more than once in the SAME category. Example:  If you won Government Contractor of the Year under $7.5 in revenue last year or any previous year, then you cannot compete again in under $7.5. 
• Please note that some awards are open only to SECAF members. If you are not a member and want to submit an application, please join SECAF via the SECAF website.  
• Applicants for the Executive of the Year must be a high-ranking executives in the C-Suite such as CEO, President, COO, Founder.
